Hyundai is going to build the Korea's largest 65 MW solar project on the reclaimed land developed by Hyundai itself back in 1980s.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Green Energy has announced on the April 2 it won an EPC contract with Hyundai Engineering & Construction to construct 65 MW solar project in SeoSan, Korea. SeoSan is well-known as a magnificent reclaimed land of 154,000,000 m2 developed by Hyundai itself back in 1980s. Especially the SeoSan reclaimed land was built with the 'Ju-Young Chung method' which was a brilliant idea of the Hyundai founder to block the sea using an abondoned oil tanker sunk with filled water.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Green Energy is going to also supply 65 MW solar modules and inverters while Hyundai Electric & Energy Systems will supply 130 MWh energy storage systems(ESS).
