Luxury car brand Maserati opens four new showrooms in South Korea

thLuxury car maker Maserati has opened four new showrooms in South Korea to take advantage of growing demand, stable construction costs and steady economic growth.Turner & Townsend, the global programme management and construction consultancy, was appointed to support the roll-out of the showrooms in Daejeon, Gwangju, Daegu and Seocho, an affluent district of the capital Seoul.
Import tariffs, which have been significantly reduced recently, has made the country an attractive investment opportunity.As part of the Italian car manufacturer’s strategy to strengthen its presence in East Asia and enlarge its footprint in South Korea, Turner & Townsend used a state-of-the-art video reporting system to keep the head office at Maserati in Italy up-to-date in real-time on every step of each project.
The consultancy, which is providing programme management services for all eight projects, has also created a Korea Supply Chain Report – a catalogue of high-quality materials sourced from Korean suppliers which were pre-approved by Maserati.The next two facilities in Ilsan and Gangnam are currently under construction, and are expected to open in January and August 2016 respectively.
