Enjoying my birthday cuban cigar (ok a week late ) sitting outside no mozzies even before I started smoking, perfect temperature 79F no humidity drinking Myers and coke (warm and no ice) enjoying the deep taste and listening to early Jack Johnson music and Lou reed 's perfect day, on my back porch at close to midnight.

I am feeling very contented,🏝 tomorrow💣 I have horrible taste and probably hangover but that is the future, for this moment it is beautiful. 😎

As I work on my off grid house, I discovered a few things, 12000 btu will cool around 350 sf per hour and uses a 1kwh of power to run it. So say it runs for 4 hours during the night I would need 4 batteries alone to power it. Plus say there is 7 hours of sunlight to power the solar panels at 200 watts per panel I need 3 panels just to recharge the batteries just to power the ac at night and another three to power it during the day.

Small Engineering is the new Cayman dealer for spider ties; currently testing them, as we do will all products before offering them to the market.

The best way to describe them is the plastic ties used in ICF but with plywood. They are incredibly easy to use and dramatically increases the speed of doing poured concrete walls. The spider ties replaces the need for traditional whaler and stronger backs and snap ties too.

The added advantage easy to strip so virtual no damage to the plywood, it is claimed you can get ten or more uses from the plywood but we are still testing, we are at three pours and minor damage only.

When this combined with fabform zont bracing system, this is perfect as it is quick and easy to you too. This provides alternative to the normal ICF bracing but can be used for non icf application too.

We can rent or sell the zont bracing system as well as the spider ties.

Small Engineering Limited has just become the spider tie agent for the Cayman Islands, from January we will be the stocking agent.
We been working here over 20 years and Spider ties are brilliant; we field test all products we sell before selling them - some products make you think they are great and in the field in Cayman they useless. Spider ties are great, you need to be there as the horizontal steel is being installed, trust me, but other than that this system is great and we agreed to their agent.

Spider ties is ICF without the foam, poured concrete wall where you can use the plywood ten times. We also sell and rent the zont bracing system, which apart from fixing the brackets to the wall (either ICF or plywood) the rest uses cam twist logs, just turn to lock that simple and robust.

OK - here is the proof combining these two products - we erected and cast a concrete wall 5-0 high and 30-00 long in a day using concrete mixer, wheelbarrowes and buckets to pour it and striped it the next day. Opps I forgot to mention the pour was 200 yards from the mixer. (6 CY)

I can personally recommend this product as a gamer changer in the Caribbean with our workforce.

Working in wet conditions or building a sea or canal wall no problem with fast foot comes in sizes for 18" , 24" & 3 6" wide footings we even have corners to make it easy to install

Working on ironshore or rocky areas. Well instead of backfill and re digging trenches which keep failing in. Here is an alternative fastfoot, metal stakes hold a 2x4 top rail in place and staple fastfoot to each side of the footings and cast. Standard sizes work for W18,W24 & W36 footings. Casting deep foundations and tried of the cost of plywood and the labour to make fix and strip. Well consider an alternative fast foot as fabric one use system.
