In 1960, a small station was founded in Jal El Dib by the two brothers Mahboub and Elias Mallah, they called it "Station Mallah"; they started with only one worker. In 1968 the first truck was bought to distribute Gasoil in the near by area; it was driven by the owners. In 1974 th
e second truck was introduced in order to supply the gas station; The first driver was employed. In 1990, after the two brothers died, MALAPCO SAL was founded, with main aim to manage and supply gas stations with all kind of petroleum products; it started with two gas stations and four trucks. By 1998 MALAPCO was managing eight gas stations, operating ten trucks, and supplying petroleum products throughout the Lebanese market. By the year 2000 MALAPCO added to its operations petroleum derivatives transports, in addition to gas station management; nowadays MALAPCO’s sister company “TRANSOIL EXPRESS SAL” owns and operates around thirty trucks to service MALAPCO and many other Lebanese petroleum companies operations. Furthermore MALAPCO now owns four well located gas stations, manages five others, and has its logo implemented on eight gas stations located in Kesserwan and Mount Lebanon, in addition to several other stations fueled by MALAPCO.
