The AUB Rocket Team was founded on September 2017 by mechanical engineering students at the American University of Beirut (AUB). The team was formed with the goal of building a sounding rocket as a final year project and competing in the annual Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition. The project is a purely academic project with the purpose of improving the involvement of Lebanese engineer

ing students in the aerospace industry as well as developing the technical skills of the AUB rocket team members. The work of the AUB Rocket Team is not in any way related to the military or to politics.
