The National Electrical Utility Company (NEUC) is a member of the Debbas Group (www.debbas.com), and is responsible for operating the Electrical Utility as part of the Distribution Service Provider (DSP) project in association with the Lebanese Ministry of Energy & Water and “Electricité du Liban” (E.D.L). The main objective is to rehabilitate and modernize the electricity power grid over its area
of operations that covers the Southern region of Mount Lebanon and Chiyah division that are covered by the 5 EDL divisions:
Chiyah, Aley, Beiteddine, Bhamdoun and Wadi El Zineh. Some of our Services include:
- Maintenance & Operations teams that operate around the clock to ensure all faults are repaired promptly.
- Centralized Call Center (1572), handling around 5,000 calls a month, ensuring to deal with all types of complaints (maintenance requests, applications follow-up, bills inquiry, violation reporting, meter installation, meter upgrade, measurements...)and all related services. Our Customer Service Center is available in all 5 divisions ready to respond to customers’ inquiries and complaints.
- ConstructionWorks that focus on improving the condition of the existing distribution network while upgrading & refurbishing components (cables, feeders, substations, transformers...) or installation new ones where needed.
- Meter Reading and Bills Collection.
- Inspection & Violation Removal, we have so far issued 16,000 ticket against violators.
- AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) in which NEUC has been the first to have seen its smart metres certified, validated and approved in March 2019, and with the company already well in the process of installing them in its jurisdiction of the Southern region of Mount Lebanon and Chiyah. Once the project will be completed, it will pave the way for automation, allow detect fraud and fault lines, whether be technical or non-technical losses (violation or fraud).
