🚀 Welcome to the Bioinformatics Series! 🧬💻
Hey future bio-coders! 🎉 Get ready to explore how biology meets technology in an exciting, hands-on way! 🧑🔬✨
Ever wondered how scientists decode DNA 🧬, track viruses 🦠, or develop new medicines 💊? They use code! By the end of this course, you’ll be writing Python programs to analyze genetic data—no prior coding experience needed! 🐍💡
What to Expect?
This 4-part series is designed for beginners! In Session 1, you’ll dive into Python basics and bioinformatics by:
✅ Reading DNA sequences from a file 📄
✅ Counting nucleotides (A, T, C, G) 🔢
✅ Converting DNA to RNA 🎯
By the end, you’ll have your first bioinformatics script running!
📢 Presented by IEEE Student Branch ULFS2 and led by Elie Dina, PhD student in AI & Data Science.
📅 Date: Tuesday, April 8, 2025
