🏭 “හොඳම ක්‍රමය සොයමු” — Taylorගේ පාඩමෙන් අපට
එක්තරා Garment Factory එකක එකම operation එක කරන workers කිහිපදෙනෙක් සිටියා.
එක් worker කෙනෙක් operation එකක් කරන්න විනාඩි 1ක් ගත්තා.
තවත් කෙනෙක් තත්පර 50ක් ගත්තා.
තවත් කෙනෙක් තත්පර 45ක් ගත්තා.
Manager කිව්වා,
“හැමෝම තමන්ට පුළුවන් විදිහට වැඩ කරනවා. ඒ නිසා මෙහෙමම යමු.”
නමුත් Industrial Engineer කෙනෙක් එතනට ඇවිත් stopwatch එක අතට ගත්තා.
ඔහු කිව්වා,
“අපි බලමු කවුද වේගවත් කියලා විතරක් නෙවෙයි…
ඇයි ඔහු වේගවත් කියලා බලමු.”
ඔහු workerලාගේ movements බලලා,
අනවශ්‍ය movements ඉවත් කළා.
Machine position එක වෙනස් කළා.
Material position එක ළඟට ගෙනාවා.
හොඳම method එක තෝරාගත්තා.
අවසානයේ operation එකේ standard time එක තත්පර 45 දක්වා අඩු කළා.
මෙන්න Taylorගේ වැදගත් පාඩම:
“වැඩ කරන මිනිසාට දොස් කියන්න කලින්, වැඩ කරන ක්‍රමය අධ්‍යයනය කරන්න.”
Taylorගේ Scientific Management සංකල්පයේ මූලික අදහස වුණේ වැඩ කරන ක්‍රමය විද්‍යාත්මකව අධ්‍යයනය කර, හොඳම ක්‍රමය හඳුනාගෙන standardize කිරීමයි.
අද Garment Industry එකේ අපි ඒකෙන් ගන්න ඕනෑ පාඩම ඉතා සරලයි.
Efficiency අඩු නම් — workerට විතරක් දොස් කියන්න එපා.

Machine එක හරිද?
Material placement එක හරිද?
Motion එක වැඩිද?
Layout එක හරිද?
SMV එක නිවැරදිද?
Training එක ප්‍රමාණවත්ද?
Quality issue නිසා rework වෙනවද?

Stopwatch එකේ තියෙන්නේ කාලය විතරක් නෙවෙයි.
ඒක improvement එකකට තියෙන දොරටුවක්.
අද අපි worker කෙනෙකුගෙන්
“ඇයි ඔයා slow?” කියලා අහනවා වෙනුවට,
“ඔයාට වේගයෙන් සහ පහසුවෙන් වැඩ කරන්න අපිට මොනවා වෙනස් කරන්න පුළුවන්ද?”
කියලා අහමු.
මොකද,
**“Best Worker” සොයනවාට වඩා
“Best Method” සොයන එකයි Industrial Engineering.**
අද අපි කරන එකම operation එක,
හෙට තවත් හොඳ ක්‍රමයකින් කරන්න පුළුවන්.
Measure → Analyze → Improve → Standardize → Repeat.
එයයි Productivity එකේ ගමන.
අපි මිනිසුන්ව වේගවත් කරන්නේ නැහැ.
අපි වැඩ කරන ක්‍රමය හොඳ කරලා මිනිසුන්ට වඩා හොඳින් වැඩ කරන්න අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙනවා.
