Converting a 2026 Mitsubishi Rosa Super Long into a Mobile Ophthalmic Unit for Vision Art Eyecare

Specs of the build
The interior was converted to include the following features and specifications, as required by the Client.

2 dedicated areas at the rear for manual Vision checking and sight reading, a dedicated compartment for the lens box with a folding table, LED vision screens at the specified required distance for accuracy.

Electric-operated table to fit the Auto Refractometer & Lens meter fitted with removable brackets

⁠⁠Custom-built display with drawers to keep the allocated stock of spectacle frames, etc

Mini counter for customer documentation and billing

3-way fridge under counter

In-cabin divan for the waiting customers

On-board PA system

3 x 2.0m Manually draw out Awnings with floor stands to pitch the awnings on any solid or concrete surfaces where the bus will be parked on site

Complete Branding & Digital Printing as per the selected Artwork by the Client

Avery Denison UV window tint on front glass and blackout all rear glass to keep the Cabin temperature to a minimum

Custom-installed 12000 BTU split-type AC to run when stationary from shore power

35m shore power cord on rotating reel to obtain CEB supply on site

Heavy-duty canvas cover for both to protect from the elements

3M Carpet for the entire floor, including driver & passenger area

Job completed in 28 days at the very special request made by client as it was his wish to launch this brand new venture along with their brand new branch opening in Pelmadulla, Rathnapura.

Full Engine Rebuild with Genuine Japanese internal parts, Engine detailed and painted after repair work to give a brand new outlook

Full Diff rebuild with genuine parts

All related repairs to steering, suspension & brakes performed
Minor corrosion damage on body, repaired and realigned panel work

Full Body painting inside & out

Full chassis anti corrosion treatment and paint detail to a high gloss finish

Reconstruction and repairing the factory Wiring harness with new auxiliary harnesses for the onboard camping modifications

Custom made side steps with Rock lights

Custom made winch bumper with WARN 12000lbs winch and 9” Kings DominatorX lights

Custom made Rear Bunoer with aux reverse lights and high visibility rear combination lights

Custom built interior with AC & DC power outlets, 12v & USB outlets, on board 4000w power inverter with charge controller and DC-DC charging setup, 1260Amp/h lithium battery system with a 405W roof mounted solar, house battery system can charge upto 28Amps on the run & 10-12Amps on Solar when the engine is stopped.

Android setup with 2x JBL 6” speakers with front & rear 4G DVR with GPS tracking

TRE 270 self supported Wing Awning with built in LED lights

TRE air compressor with extra long inflation kit

Recovery gear, Fire safety & First aid kit also included on vehicle

A lengthy project which spanned over 7 months of labor intensive work and detailed attention to give the customer a unique product that has NEVER BEEN DONE LOCALLY IN SRI LANKA !
