The session explored how the EU regulatory landscape is evolving around product sustainability, circularity, traceability, environmental claims and end of life responsibility. Key developments include the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, which establishes a framework for future product specific sustainability requirements and the Digital Product Passport, as well as new EU rules strengthening textile waste responsibility and consumer protection around environmental information.

These developments are increasingly relevant to textile and apparel businesses connected to the European market, making awareness of regulatory expectations, supply chain information and compliance readiness an important part of future business planning.
