In 2025, ProMET Group extended its CSR scope for the benefit of elders in Thudugala and Thebuwana areas.

On 7th November 2025, an eye camp, including a medical camp, was very successfully conducted for 115 elders.

Spectacles, tailor made to each identified elder, were handed over to 100 elders on 15th December.

The event was conducted at the Buddharakkitharamaya Watadagei Temple, Thudugala.

The Chairperson/CEO of the ProMET Group Mrs. M A Pubudini Ishanthi and Executive Director Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam attended both events.

All HO staff of the ProMET Group acted as volunteers in conducting the eye camp.

We proudly announce that Professional MET Consultancy Services (Pvt) Limited has won a Commendation Certificate at the Sri Lanka National Quality Award 2023 competition.

Mrs. Pubudini Ishanthi, Chairperson/CEO of the ProMET Group received the award at the Ceremony held on 11th November 2025 at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.

Four years have passed by since the demise of Late Mr. M A Justin, Chartered Engineer and Founder Chairman/MD, PROMET Group.

To commemorate this, an Alms Giving was held at the Head Office premises on 19th September 2025.

Chairperson/CEO, Mrs. M A Pubudini Ishanthi, Executive Director, Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam, Director, Mrs. Saumakanthi Seneviratne, of the PROMET Group attended the event.

World Standard Day falls on 14th October.

To celebrate this event, ProMET Group conducted an awareness session for all HO staff on 16th October 2025.

Sri Lanka Standards Institute helped to do this event by assigning Mr. Indika Lindamulla, Deputy Director (Training Division). It was an interactive session where staff members took part in group activities also.

Mrs. Pubudini Ishanthi, Chairperson/CEO and Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam, Executive Director participated in the awareness session.

Vacancies at the ProMET Group

Eco Care Bio Energy (Pvt) Limited is a company under the ProMET Group focused on supplying sustainable bio-energy in the form of wood chips for the manufacturing industry.

We have opened a brand new wood chipping plant located in Thudugala, Kaluthara and are now looking for an experienced professional to be appointed as the Plant Supervisor.

PLANT SUPERVISOR (Location – Thudugala, Kaluthara)
Key Accountabilities:
· Planning and Implementing plant operations to meet customer requirements
· Achieve productivity KPIs of the plant – people, machine, energy
· Maintain plant machinery and vehicles to ensure zero down time
· Establish and maintain good relationships with all relevant government organizations
· Manage resources to handle production and deliveries
· Maintain and update all records – firewood receipts, production, deliveries – to be able to trace the source of the firewood
· Implement process improvements to reduce costs and minimize wastage in the plant
· Work with firewood suppliers to buy firewood and make payments

Qualifications & Experience
· Possess NDT, NDES (Mechanical), NCT or Equivalent Qualifications from a reputed Institute.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity at a manufacturing company.
· Technical knowledge to handle/supervise machinery/vehicle breakdowns will be a distinct advantage
· Leadership skills
· Ability to prioritize tasks
· Good negotiation skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Willing to work long hours and during week-ends if the need arises
· Being proactive and target oriented

Under the direction of its Chairperson/CEO Mr. Pubudini Ishanthi, ProMET Group conducted a training programme for all Head Office Staff on 16th August 2025.

Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam, Executive Director of the ProMET Group also attended the programme.

Mr. Kelum Weligama facilitated the training. The theme was “Personal Development and Customer Care Excellence”

PROMET Group celebrated the Poson Festival on 9th June 2025 by holding a Gilan Pasa Poojawa and Chanting of Seth Pirith pinkama at the HO to invoke blessings on the Senior Management Team and all staff.

The International Environment Day fell on 5th June 2025.

Under the guidance of our Chairperson/CEO, Mrs. Pubudini Ishanthi, we commemorated the event by carrying out a tree planting programme at our wood chipping plant in Thudugala.

Our Executive Director Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam attended the programme and planted several trees including mango, jack and kohomba. About 100 cuttings of gliricidia were also planted.

On 9th May 2025 ProMET Group hosted its first Vesak Dansala!

Chilled Milo Cups were served to 3500 people who cherished the drink.

Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer Mrs. M A Pubudini Ishanthi, Executive Director Mr. Dulanjan Kariyawasam, Mrs. SaumyaKanthi Seneviratne, Director of the ProMET Group together with other family members and all HO staff actively took part in serving people.

It was a huge success as people appreciated the chilled drink served during a hot climate which prevailed on that day!!!
