The Sri Lankan Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS), in collaboration with the University of Queensland, Australia, is pleased to announce the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2026.
Now in its 8th year in Sri Lanka, the competition offers MPhil and PhD candidates a unique platform to present their research to a wider audience in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Participants are challenged to communicate the significance of their research and its impact in just three minutes using a single presentation slide.
We encourage all eligible candidates to take advantage of this opportunity to develop their science communication skills and showcase their research to a broader audience.
Eligibility
MPhil/PhD candidates who have conducted significant research for their thesis, including those whose thesis is currently under evaluation, are invited to apply.
