What I should be doing in Bangkok:
Checking stones.
Analyzing colors.
Closing deals. 💎
What I’m actually doing:
Getting soaked in the streets with a water gun. 💦😂
It’s Songkran — Thailand’s New Year —
and business can wait.
Happy Songkran! 🇹🇭✨

Closing a chapter I’ll always be grateful for. ✨
Finishing my studies at AIGS in Thailand and officially becoming an accredited gemologist has been an intense, eye-opening, and deeply rewarding journey. From long days of learning and hands-on discovery to unforgettable people and experiences, this chapter has shaped me in more ways than I expected.

As this adventure comes to an end, I’m carrying the knowledge, memories, and passion forward. I am ready for what’s next. 💎🌍

Let me take you behind the scenes of gemstones in Sri Lanka 💎
While in Ratnapura, I had the chance to go about 10 meters deep into the mines to see firsthand where sapphires are found and to experience a side of gemstone mining that most people never get to witness.

For me, it wasn’t just about hearing stories or learning about the process from the outside — I really wanted to see it, feel it, and understand it for myself. To step into the mines, observe the work up close, and gain a deeper appreciation for the people, tradition, and effort behind every single stone.

It was such a fascinating and eye-opening experience, and it gave me a completely new perspective on the beauty and journey of these gemstones.

I am so thankful for this truly special experience ✨

From rough brilliance to refined perfection 💛✨

This yellow sapphire began its journey at over 100 carats—full of potential, but waiting to reveal its true beauty. Through precision cutting and expert craftsmanship, it transformed into a stunning 40-carat masterpiece, unlocking unmatched fire, clarity, and brilliance.

Sometimes, less truly is more. 💎

Jewelry doesn’t just sparkle — it holds memories, moments, and people close to your heart ✨

This ring with tourmaline and alexandrites is one of those memories I get to carry with me every day. The stones were a birthday gift from my friends, chosen with so much love. Every time it catches the light, it reminds me of laughter, hugs, and that beautiful night celebrating my birthday in Bangkok.

Some gifts shine not because of the stones, but because of the memories inside them 💚💜

March babies, this one is for you 💎✨

Aquamarine is the beautiful birthstone of March — a gemstone that captures the calm, clear feeling of the sea 🌊. Its name literally comes from Latin for “water of the sea,” and when you see a really fine one, you immediately understand why. The color can range from very light icy blue to deeper ocean tones, depending on the quality of the material.

I only cut one aquamarine myself, which I now wear in a ring. It definitely needs a little cleaning, and the color is very light — but that’s part of the fun of working with natural material.

If you compare it to a Santa Maria aquamarine, the difference is easy to see. Santa Maria stones have a much deeper, richer blue, while lighter aquas (like mine) can look very pale or slightly washed out.

Both are aquamarine — just very different personalities of the same gem 💙

Where are my aquamarine lovers? ✨

Next stop: the Mineral & Fossil Galleries right around Lester Street.

This is where Earth’s history feels alive.
Towering dinosaur fossils.
Massive mineral specimens.
And breathtaking tables carved from entire geodes — raw nature turned into art.

But then you see something truly rare.

Pallasite peridot from a meteorite.

Not ordinary peridot formed in Earth’s mantle —
but peridot crystals that grew inside an asteroid billions of years ago.

When a pallasite meteorite is cut open, you see translucent green olivine crystals suspended in a metallic iron-nickel matrix. It looks almost unreal — like stained glass from space.

These crystals formed at the core–mantle boundary of ancient planetary bodies, long before they traveled through the universe and eventually landed here on Earth.

From dinosaurs…
to deep-earth minerals…
to gemstones born beyond our planet.

This is Tucson 💫🦕💎

This time let’s discover the area around Lester street. Have you ever been in this area in Tucson? So many nice shops, tents and different dealers. It’s always incredible to see what nature creates.
