The Foundation Of Maliyadeva College Astronomical Society Was Lead By our superior teacher who was once the head of the maliyadeva science section, Mr. It was officially inaugurated in 2000. At the beginning, it was in two sections as Senior Astronomical Society and Junior Astronomical Society. Later it was formed as the Maliyadeva College astronomical society. In 2001, the first program of Maliya
deva College astronomical society was held as Astro 2001 with a exhibition and a quiz competition. This leaded to get the 1st prize in Structure section at the North Western provincial Competition. Devid Iyanrich came to our school and had many lectures and sky observation camps. In 2003, Maliyadeva college astronomical society was able achieve many awards from Astro 2003 provincial competition. They got 1st place in structure section and 1st place in quiz competition. In 2004, many lectures, exhibitions and sky observation camps were organized. For the first time, an Astronomical Day was held in Maliyadeva College in 2005. From there, in 2006 and 2007 Maliyadeva college astronomical society received lot of credits from several competitions. In 2008 and 2009 Devans Astro Night was held giving a very memorial experience to the members.
