Sensors That Trigger the Check Engine Light

Advanced Explanation with OBD-II Codes

Modern ECUs constantly monitor sensor signals. If a value is out of range, irrational, or missing, the ECU stores a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and turns ON the Check Engine Light (MIL).

1️⃣ Oxygen (O2) Sensor

📌 Monitors exhaust oxygen to control air-fuel ratio.
