Beach clean-up activity - Browns Beach, Negombo

As concerns about the environment and the impact of climate change increasingly continue to grow, Wacoal Lanka continues to take measures to ensure that we create a valuable impact that is in alignment with the ISO 14001:2015. As a manufacturing plant, sustainability is one of our priorities and we are committed to taking proactive steps to ensure that our operations align with environmental and social goals. Recently, we contributed to a beach clean-up activity at Browns Beach, Negombo, with Lilis Intimate and Halcyon.

World Water Day

Theme: "water for peace "
Water can create peace or spark conflict.

When water is scarce or polluted, or when people have unequal, or no access, tensions can rise between communities and countries.

More than 3 billion people worldwide depend on water that crosses national borders. Yet, only 24 countries have cooperation agreements for all their shared water.

As climate change impacts increase, and populations grow, there is an urgent need, within and between countries, to unite around protecting and conserving our most precious resource.

Public health and prosperity, food and energy systems, economic productivity and environmental integrity all rely on a well-functioning and equitably managed water cycle.

Personal and Professional Development Training programme was conducted by Dr.H V Athula Kithsiri on 2nd March 2024. Both staff and Senior Management team participated for the training. It was really engrossing and interactive session which was able to make a remarkable paradigm shift in attitude of the team. Therefore in the realm of personal and professional development training, it served a invaluable stepping stone towards growth and mastery.
