The Government and Non-Profit Division of the Domestic Tax Department at the Liberia Revenue Authority has been recognized as the department’s top performer for 2025 after surpassing its annual revenue target by more than US$21 million.
According to official department records, the division exceeded its projected target of US$120.584 million by generating more than US$141.729 million during the 2025 fiscal year, an impressive overperformance of approximately 18 percent and one of the department’s strongest revenue performances in recent years.
The achievement reflects strengthened compliance enforcement, enhanced taxpayer engagement, expanded field monitoring, and improved oversight mechanisms aimed at increasing voluntary tax compliance and broadening Liberia’s tax base.
Presenting a certificate of recognition to GNFPD, Domestic Tax Commissioner Margaret P. Krote praised the team for its professionalism, innovation, and operational efficiency.
“We are proud of the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by the division in expanding the tax net and improving compliance measures,” Commissioner Krote stated.
Receiving the award on behalf of the division, GNPD Assistant Commissioner Eddie Howe described the recognition as a reflection of the resilience and collective efforts of the division’s staff.
Meanwhile, LRA Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah congratulated the division and reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to strengthening domestic revenue mobilization and improving taxpayer compliance.
As Liberia continues efforts to strengthen domestic resource mobilization and reduce dependence on foreign assistance, GNPFD’s performance highlights the growing importance of efficient tax administration in supporting national development and economic stability.
