A question we hear often from new furniture manufacturers: "Do staple specifications really matter that much?"
Short answer: yes – especially in upholstery, where the wrong fastener causes three problems:
1. Fabric damage. A staple crown too wide for thin fabric leaves visible marks. Too narrow, and the fabric tears around the legs.
2. Frame splitting. Heavy staples in soft wood or wrong leg length, splits the frame at scale.
3. Tool incompatibility. The wrong wire gauge jams in pneumatic guns – costing hours of downtime per shift. That is why we offer SKB-71, SKB-380, SKB-90 and SKB-92 across different wire gauges, crown widths and finishes – matched to common upholstery tasks, automotive trim, mattress assembly and frame work.
