FROZEN WATER SUPPLY? WHAT TO DO?

SELF-REGULATING HEATING CABLE WITH PIPEHEAT-10 A PLUG

Winter frosts and low temperatures cause many inconveniences when pipelines freeze passing through unheated rooms or shallow in the ground. Unfreezing the pipes takes a few days, by then usually pipes explode from the cold and needs to be replaced. The quick and straightforward protection of pipelines is self-regulating cable PIPEHEAT-10 with plug.

Comfort Heat self-regulating heating cable PIPEHEAT-10 with a plug, is for frost protection of :
• metal, plastic pipes for water supply and sewage systems,
• water pumps,
• water meters, valves, etc.
The wide range of heating cable PIPEHEAT-10 with an output of 10W/m and plug allows you to choose the right length to protect pipes from freezing. PIPEHEAT-10 self-regulating heating cable is installed in several ways:
• on the pipe,
• inside the pipe.

PIPEHEAT-10 INSTALLATION ON THE PIPE
The cable is glued to the metal pipe with adhesive aluminium tape (temp. resistant + 140ºC), covering it with a thermal insulation shell (min. thickness 30-50mm), then the plug connected to the power supply.

NOTE!!! When PIPEHEAT-10 installed on a plastic pipe, first glue aluminium tape to the pipe, then the attache the PIPEHEAT-10 cable and fix it with the aluminium tape. It ensures better heat transfer and protects the plastic pipe from overheating.

PIPEHEAT-10 INSTALLATION IN THE PIPE
If on pipe installation is not possible, the PIPEHEAT-10 is inserted into the pipe through a special sleeve and a tee connection.

The cable is installed as follows:
• select the tee corresponding to the pipe diameter and metal sleeve (Ø20 / 25), then run PIPEHEAT-10 through the metal sleeve,
• insert the heating cable through a rubber seal (connection of cable and the power cord must stay outside),
• insert PIPEHEAT-10 into the pipe through the tee installed in the pipe.
• when PIPEHEAT-10 is in the pipe, screw the metal sealing sleeve.
• When PIPEHEAT-10 is set, and a metal sleeve is secured, connect the plug to the supply.

The PIPEHEAT-10 should be switched off when the outdoor temperature rises above + 5ºC.
