Last week, Lithuania celebrated its Independence Day!

Alina, our HR Business Partner at Auriga, shared some insights about the event: “On February 16, 1918, twenty members of the Council of Lithuania signed the Act of Independence, officially declaring Lithuania as a sovereign democratic state with Vilnius as its capital.

This holiday is celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit in honor of Lithuania's National Day. The entire country is adorned in the national colors of yellow, green, and red. Schools, businesses, and other organizations remain open, and people participate in various parades and patriotic events nationwide.

Free concerts, organized by the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, are held in the cathedral square in Vilnius, attracting crowds who enjoy the festivities while indulging in Lithuanian delicacies such as Cepelinai (potato dumplings) and Sakotis (a unique hollow cake with spikes).”

We're on the hunt for a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Toolchain and C/C++ to join our dynamic team!

Our Client: A prestigious American firm, creators of a real-time operating system that's certified under the stringent aviation standard DO178C.

Who We're Looking For:
– Minimum 5 years' experience in software development;
– In-depth understanding of toolchain internals, including compiler and debugger principles;
– Exceptional proficiency in C/C++ programming;
– Expertise in Unix application development and familiarity with system architecture concepts;
– Extensive experience with Unix development tools and environments, such as GNU toolchain, LLVM Toolchain, shell utilities, shell scripting, Makefile, etc.;
– Solid grasp of various software development lifecycles;
– Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

We've just published a new article on Auriga's corporate blog. Our experts discuss a tool that can be used to assess the relevance of the narrative part of the medical database to the final developed product. The tool works by automatically analyzing the SDC (Service-oriented Device Connectivity) protocol to check if the implemented equipment functions meet the expected design parameters. This reduces verification time from several hours to just a few minutes.

Today we’re diving into another must-see in Costa Rica – Costa Rican coffee! “You can’t visit Costa Rica without learning about coffee!” – says Berenice, Talent Acquisition Consultant at Auriga. There are plenty of tourist attractions that offer a Coffee Tour, such as the Starbucks Finca Alsacia and the Britt Coffee Tour. You’ll get to witness the entire process of how coffee is made in Costa Rica, and you can even pick some yourself! It’s worth noting that the best time to take a Costa Rican coffee tour is between October and March, as that’s the production and harvest season.

Our Talent Acquisition Consultant, Berenice, shares some amazing locations in Costa Rica with you! These places are perfect for taking a break from your daily work and finding inspiration.

1. Waterfalls Galore:
One of the best things to do in Costa Rica is to go on waterfall hikes, as there are waterfalls everywhere! Most of them can be done as a day trip, but you can also visit several in-between destinations. In some cases, a tour guide may be necessary as some hikes can be quite challenging, but there is something for everyone.
“My top recommended waterfalls include Rio Celeste, Nauyaca, Del Toro, Llanos de Cortes, La Fortuna, and Oropendula.”

2. Volcanoes Everywhere:
The most popular volcano is Arenal Volcano, where you can enjoy natural hot springs, go hiking, do ATV rides, and see amazing wildlife. Other great options are Irazu, Poas, and Turrialba, which are also excellent day trips near San Jose. If you visit Guanacaste, be sure to add Rincón de la Vieja to your itinerary.
