This week, Staticus engineers stepped out of the office and into classrooms to introduce engineering for the future generation.

As part of the Engineering Week initiative organised by Lietuvos statybininkų asociacija, our Junior Design Engineer Simonas Jurkynas and Head of 3D Design Aivaras Bijūnaitis visited Jėzuitų Gymnasium in Vilnius and Sūduvos Gymnasium in Marijampolė - presenting to over 120 students on what engineering actually involves, challenging common misconceptions, and sharing what a career in this field can really look like - making one thing clear: engineering is not reserved for people who are good at maths. It is for curious people, creative people, problem-solvers.

At Staticus, contributing to the development of the next generation matters to us. Inspiring young people to consider engineering and showing them that the construction industry is far more than a hard hat and a construction site is something we are glad to be part of.

Thank you to LSA and to all the schools for the warm welcome and for creating this opportunity. 🙏

Façades may define how a building looks. Engineering defines whether it works.

From resolving structural interfaces to navigating site constraints and performance requirements, engineering sits at the centre of every project we deliver.

That’s why we dedicate March to − a moment to recognise the people behind that work. We close the month with our Engineering Awards, celebrating engineers nominated by their peers for the behaviours and impact they make across projects and teams.

🏆 Rising Star − Gintarė Ražanaitė, Team Lead of Workshop Design

Gintarė stood out for her rapid growth, curiosity, and the way she approaches every challenge, with initiative and a drive to continuously improve.

🏆 Above & Beyond − Tautvydas Čėpla, Senior Design Engineer

Tautvydas consistently goes further than expected - stepping up in critical moments, supporting colleagues, and setting a high standard for dedication and reliability.

🏆 Engineer of the Year − Michal Adam Machnik, Design Engineer

Michal embodies what it means to be an engineer at Staticus: technically exceptional, collaborative, and someone who makes the entire team stronger.

Engineering Month also included a few moments worth highlighting.

🗨️ F**-up Stories − On 13 March, six engineers shared real project stories: five minutes each, no filter. Technical challenges, unexpected risks, and the decisions that helped bring projects back on track. It takes more courage to talk about failure than to present success, and we are grateful to Mariia Komarivska, Eimantas Tinginys, Marconi Garrido, Tomas Vaiciukevičius, Dovilė Liaudanskytė, and Dainius Lomonosovas for setting that tone.

🎙️ Guest speaker − On 25 March, we welcomed Kristian Lars Ahlmark, Board Member at Staticus and Principal and Partner at Schmidt Hammer Lassen, who spoke about our collaboration on VIA and K8 and offered a first look at the future Campus Staticus.

Thank you to everyone who presented, nominated colleagues, voted, and to the engineers whose work makes every project possible.

Until next March.

Behind striking façades there are engineers who made it possible.

Today, on , we celebrate the talent behind Staticus, everyone who turns ideas into reality, keeps projects moving forward, and finds solutions when none seem to exist.

This day also marks another year of a tradition we are proud to call our own: . Throughout March, we will host events and activities across the company, closing with the Engineering Awards. Here we recognise colleagues who take initiative, push for excellence, demonstrate growth, and continuously strive to improve the way we engineer and deliver.

To our engineers at Staticus and to all those in the field everywhere – thank you for your expertise, dedication, and impact. 🤍📐

Almost a month ago, we gathered at MO Betonas for Studio 2054 - our winter night inspired by Studio 54, with a burlesque twist and a futuristic edge.

Now the aftermovie is live. ✨🪩
Hit play to revisit the night - the outfits, the energy, and the in-between moments that brought colleagues from different teams and countries together. Behind all glitter, it’s a glimpse of our culture: people showing up, cheering each other on, and enjoying the night together.

On February 5th, Staticus participated in Lithuania's largest Occupational Health and Safety conference | DSS (Darbuotojų sauga ir sveikata) konferencija, following our recognition as Safety Culture Ambassador 2025 by Lithuania’s State Labour Inspectorate | Valstybinė darbo inspekcija. The event gathered industry professionals to discuss trends and best practices for enhancing safety culture.

Rasa Sujetienė, Head of Health & Safety, and Marijus Tverijonas, Senior Health & Safety Specialist, shared insights on practical safety leadership. Rasa highlighted two key campaigns: the “Safe Team” campaign, which led to a 24% reduction in safety violations and an 80% decrease in violations related to campaign themes, and a mental health campaign that trained 100% of supervisors in psychological health and engaged 70 employees in the Mental Health Ambassador program.

Marijus shared insights on crane safety in high-risk construction activities, highlighting the importance of disciplined lifting planning, competent supervision, and strict compliance with safety procedures to prevent accidents.

Rasa noted, "By sharing our experience, solutions, and lessons learned, we contribute to the Lithuanian safety leadership community. Knowledge sharing is vital for mature organisations, as it fosters transparency, encourages continuous improvement, and helps prevent incidents across the industry."

At Staticus, we know effective safety management goes beyond compliance. It’s about ensuring all stakeholders are confident in the safety of their operations, and participating in these discussions allows us to lead by example, providing clients with the assurance that their projects are executed safely and responsibly.

A week ago, we gathered at Mo Betonas / MO muziejus for an evening that felt like stepping into another world - Studio 2054, inspired by the myth-ridden energy of 1970s New York’s Studio 54, with a burlesque twist and a futuristic edge.

This celebration was more than a theme. We encouraged everyone to be a little more expressive and daring. The result was a night full of shared moments, laughter, and the kind of connection that stays with you after the music ends.

Colleagues from different countries, roles, and teams came together to create the night in our own way and show what Staticus culture looks like: open, supportive, and genuinely together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Studio 2054 happen. Here’s to more evenings that bring us closer! ✨🪩

Another strong recognition for Staticus and for one of our already multi-award-winning projects – Forskaren. This time, the project has received the Gold Award as the Lithuanian Product of the Year, organised by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists | Lietuvos pramonininkų konfederacija (LPK). 🥇

Forskaren, a 10-storey life sciences hub in Stockholm, stands out for its architectural ambition, technical complexity, and commitment to sustainability. The project features several key innovations, including:

✔️ The unconventional building geometry required an advanced façade strategy, integrating both unitised and stick systems seamlessly.
✔️ Real-time 3D parametric modelling allowed us to incorporate element geometries, connections, and tolerances early in the design process, significantly improving accuracy and efficiency.
✔️ To refine profile geometries and comply with ISO standards, we used FEM computational techniques to assess and optimise complex critical points.
✔️ Sustainability through materials. The façade uses FSC-certified Accoya wood from New Zealand, a non-toxic, long-lasting cladding material with exceptional environmental performance.
✔️ Additionally, we have used Circal aluminium, a high-quality recycled-content aluminium, for bearing profiles, further enhancing the project's commitment to eco-friendly materials.

This award is the latest in a growing list of recognitions for Forskaren, including Stockholm Building of the Year 2025 (by the City of Stockholm), Best Office Building 2024 (World Architecture Festival), a shortlist for Sustainability Project of the Year 2025 (Society of Façade Engineering (SFE) Façade Awards), and the 3rd place for Most Beautiful Façade (ArchZONA FACadE’25).

We are proud to see our work consistently recognised by LPK and others. These achievements reflect the dedication of Staticus teams, from engineering to installation, and our commitment to delivering façades that set new benchmarks for quality, innovation, and sustainability. 👏

Staticus was invited to the European Commission's Implementation Dialogue on the construction ecosystem, held in Brussels today, 2 December, and chaired by Executive Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné.

The meeting brought together 15 organisations from across the construction value chain to discuss practical obstacles affecting project delivery in Europe - from permitting bottlenecks and cross-border administrative barriers to technology adoption and material circularity.

Ausra Vankeviciute, Group CEO at Staticus, represented the company and contributed insights from our experience delivering façade projects across multiple EU markets. As Aušra says:

“These challenges are shared across the entire industry, and the solutions are within reach. No single company can overcome fragmented rules or slow procedures alone. If Europe can simplify processes, strengthen digital tools, improve transparency, and support the free movement of skilled people - including ensuring that certifications for engineers and construction site operators are recognised across all Member States rather than only nationally - the sector will be able to deliver faster and more predictably.”

We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a discussion that will feed into the upcoming European Strategy for Housing Construction.

We are proud to announce the continuation of our partnership with MO muziejus, becoming a Major Patron for the next two years.

After a successful first year of collaboration, we will keep focusing on a shared mission: giving children from socially vulnerable families more opportunities to develop creativity and emotional intelligence through art.

What started as support for MO’s educational activities has grown into a long-term partnership centred on community impact. Our CEO Aušra Vankevičiūtė emphasises that meaningful change comes from consistent, long-term commitment to children and families. MO Museum Director Milda Ivanauskienė highlights that cultural education sits at the core of MO’s mission, and partnerships like this help extend access to groups who might otherwise be left out.

This year, together we’ve already made an impact for the Trakai District Family and Child Support Centre. MO invited the centre’s children to creative sessions at the museum and brought educators to Trakai for on-site workshops. Alongside MO, Staticus added hands-on engagement - most recently through “Dream City,” where children imagined and built their own dream cities. Together, these activities helped children of different ages strengthen creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and emotional awareness through art.

Staticus and MO Museum are committed to continuing this partnership and creating lasting impact together.

On October 3, our Lead of System Design and Standardisation, Dr. Domas Valiukas, spoke at ARCHzonaTALKS, sharing how hybrid systems can accelerate low-carbon building design.

Domas presented “Architecture with lower CO₂ emissions: a new generation of hybrid façades - from research to implementation,” introducing Staticus’ Hybrid Unitised Façade (HUF). By swapping much of the aluminium for engineered timber, HUF can cut the façade’s embodied carbon by up to 52% (and up to 70% in the frame), while still delivering the performance and look architects expect.

He also shared insights from our Textiltorget project, where HUF reached strong energy efficiency and an average of 156 kgCO₂e/m² for production and installation, around 35% lower than a typical all-aluminium façade.

💡 The key takeaway from Domas presentation: with solid R&D and thorough testing, hybrid façades can significantly lower carbon without sacrificing durability, safety, or design quality.
