Summer at MEPCO ended with a little taste of Italy 🇮🇹🤌

The team gathered at Asvejos sodyba for an Italian-themed summer festival organised by RenginiuKalve.lt - Renginių organizavimas – a day of friendly competition, good food and plenty of time away from our usual projects.

Stepping outside the office for a day like this gives the team a chance to relax, celebrate the summer, and simply enjoy time together away from daily projects.

Grateful for such a great day spent together as a team 🙌

Data centre engineering is a constant balancing act ⚙️ At MEPCO, part of Ethos Engineering, our engineers work through complex technical challenges every day – balancing resilience, efficiency, constructability and cost while meeting increasingly demanding programme, sustainability and regulatory requirements.

In practice, that means:

🔵 Optimising cooling strategies
🔵 Resolving capacity constraints
🔵 Improving system resilience
🔵 Navigating complex site conditions

For our engineers, this means more than technical design – it means solving real problems, making meaningful decisions and working on complex, high-impact projects across international markets.

You don't need to leave Lithuania to build an international engineering career 🌍

Our story is now featured on DELFI.lt, looking at how our engineers are contributing to large scale data centre and infrastructure projects across Europe, all from Lithuania.

The feature includes Dovilė Vaišnoraitė, who progressed from Assistant Project Manager to Senior Engineer in four years, Gediminas Šilanskas, who has grown with MEPCO since the company had just five employees, and CEO Mindaugas Šimkus, who shares what joining Ethos Engineering means for engineering talent in Lithuania 🚀

Your first year at MEPCO comes with real tools, real projects and real support from day one 🧭

You start on live projects early, working alongside experienced colleagues from your first week.

That first year includes:

🔵 Tools: hands-on with Autodesk Revit, MagiCAD, AutoCAD and other BIM modelling and coordination software used across our projects.

🔵 Projects: placement on large-scale international projects across EMEA, working on live designs from an early stage.

🔵 Support: an assigned mentor, structured internal training, and an introduction to international teams as your experience grows.

Together, these three areas give engineers the technical skills and the confidence to take on more responsibility as they progress.

This means real experience and real growth.

| Meet Aušra, our new People Operations Manager, who joined us with plenty of energy and genuine excitement about being part of the team ⚡

Aušra joined MEPCO on 20 July, bringing more than 15 years of experience in HR. She has worked across a range of organisations, from fast growing technology companies to international organisations, building HR functions from scratch, guiding organisations through growth and change, and helping managers build strong teams 💼

Outside the office, Aušra likes to keep life full of new impressions. Her biggest hobby is diving, she's a certified PADI diver and explores the underwater world whenever she gets the chance. She also enjoys horseback riding, and has recently picked up motorcycles too, a hobby she says already gives her a good sense of freedom 🏍️

Aušra has already started meeting colleagues in person, at both the Vilnius and Kaunas offices. Welcome to the team, Aušra, we wish you a smooth start, interesting challenges and good company along the way 🙌

Every successful project starts long before construction begins ⚙️

At MEPCO, experienced engineers work across projects from early planning through to construction and handover.

This provides a direct view of how technical decisions develop from initial concepts into coordinated designs, construction-ready solutions, and fully commissioned systems.

Throughout the project, engineers work closely with other disciplines, resolve technical challenges, support construction teams, and see how their decisions perform on site.

This means greater responsibility for project outcomes, stronger involvement in key technical decisions, and the ability to follow their work beyond the design stage 🛠️

Seeing a project through to testing, commissioning, and handover also helps engineers apply practical lessons to future designs and delivery decisions.

Building a career in data centres starts with continuous learning ⚡️

As part of the Ethos Engineering Group, MEPCO engineers have access to specialist-led training and the opportunity to learn from experts across multiple engineering disciplines.

The Data Centre Academy offers specialised courses that help engineers strengthen their skills and build the practical understanding needed for modern data centre projects.

The 2026 programme includes:

🔵 Tier classification and critical power infrastructure
🔵 Cooling systems, HVAC psychrometrics and CFD
🔵 ICT, security and LEED principles
🔵 Market-specific data centre requirements

Beyond technical knowledge, the data centre academy helps engineers better understand how critical building systems work together, enabling stronger collaboration, more confident decision-making and greater impact on international projects.

For MEPCO engineers, the data centre academy provides an opportunity to continue developing their expertise and prepare for complex international projects.
