Ever noticed dark aluminum sliding doors bending a bit during summer? ☀️

It's easy to assume something was installed wrong, but it's actually just physics, it's called the bimetal effect.

Dark exterior profiles soak up heat from the sun while the interior side stays cool. That temperature gap makes the aluminum expand unevenly, and over time it can cause sticking, friction, or other operational quirks.
