Rotarex Firetec Sets Its Sights on Marine Fire Safety 🚢

Big news: We have obtained MED certification from DNV, which allows us to bring our proven fire suppression technology to the marine sector.

Two of our flagship products; the inert gas system (Inerex®) and the FK-5-1-12 system (RX5112), are now certified for use at sea and ready to protect engine rooms, cargo holds and other high-risk areas on board.

We showcased these solutions at the SMM trade show in Hamburg, where we met with shipbuilders and industry professionals from around the world.

A substation fire rarely starts with flames. It starts with an arc fault, an overheating connection, or an oil leak inside a sealed enclosure, on a site that is often unmanned and far from the nearest response team. Damages spread quickly.
