🎉 CELEBRATING APATEQ's BREAKTHROUGH PRESENTATION AT THE CLEANTECH WATER GROUP MEETUP! 🌊

We're excited to share the success of our recent presentation at the Cleantech Water Group Meetup, hosted by Luxinnovation. This event showcased APATEQ's groundbreaking advancements in water treatment technology, addressing critical pollutants like PFAS, microplastics, and pharmaceutical residues.

During the presentation, we highlighted:
âś… The remarkable efficacy of our pilot plant in mitigating water pollution;
âś… Seamless scalability leveraging our established industry expertise;
âś… An exciting ready-to-deploy technology.

Our success wouldn't have been achievable without the incredible efforts of our talented team, led by Antonio Vinciguerra, and the support of our partners and stakeholders. Your collaboration and trust drive our commitment to sustainability and innovation in water treatment.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Charles-Albert Florentin and the Luxinnovation team for organizing this impactful event. Your dedication to promoting innovation in the cleantech industry is truly commendable.

We're also deeply grateful to Mr. Jean-David Maennlein and Mr. Diederich Ronny from SIDEN - Syndicat des eaux résiduaires du Nord for their invaluable support. SIDEN's wastewater treatment plant provided us with the platform to test and refine our pilot plant, making this achievement possible.

To everyone who attended and contributed to the presentation's success, your enthusiasm fuels our shared mission to create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

For further inquiries or collaboration opportunities, please reach out. Let's continue making waves in advancing sustainable water management together!

APATEQ LAUNCH THE NEW FIRST OF ITS KIND NANOPAQ PILOT PLANT AS 4th CLEANING STAGE FOR WASTE WATER TREATMENT IN LUXEMBOURG

APATEQ continues to innovate and apply our combined knowledge of chemistry and water treatment systems to pollution control challenges. We are pleased to announce the mobilization of our new generation "NanoPaq" for the 4th cleaning stage at waste water treatment plant in Luxembourg.

First of its kind, APATEQ NanoPaq will be tested in the following months for the removal from the waste water of 3 types of substances at once:
1) Micro-pollutants (e.g. pharmaceutical/cosmetic and pesticides residues);
2) PFAS (PolyFluoroAlkyl Substances);
3) Microplastics (small plastic particles with diameter less than five millimeters).

These dangerous and potentially carcinogenic molecules are present in the environment in concentrations between parts per trillion (ppt) and parts per billion (ppb), harming first the wildlife and then human beings.

APATEQ LAUNCH THE NEW GENERATION OILPAQ FOR THE PRODUCED WATER TREATMENT IN UNITED STATES

APATEQ continues to innovate and apply our combined knowledge of chemistry and water treatment systems to pollution control challenges. We are pleased to announce the mobilization of our new generation "OilPaq" in United States for the oil wells produced water treatment.

Presently, in the United States, there are around 1.000.000 wells producing oil and gas. On average, 3 to 5 barrels of water are produced with every barrel of oil. By far, produced water is the largest waste stream associated with oil and gas production and it represents an important environmental issue.

"OilPaq", APATEQ’s proprietary oil-water separation systems are engineered to treat oilfield and other environmentally hazardous wastewaters for reuse or direct discharge to the environment. The effluent water from "OilPaq" systems is suitable for wells reinjection. With an additional post-treatment, the effluent can be reused as process water, directly discharged to the environment or used for irrigation.

APATEQ WATERPAQ RETURN TO LUXEMBOURG FOR THE NEXT PHASE OF THE COMINGREAT PROJECT

In 2021 APATEQ was chosen as supplier by Entsorgungsverband Saar (EVS), CEBEDEAU and University of Luxembourg, to design, build and deliver the water purification system WaterPaq for the 2 million euro CoMinGreat micro-pollutants treatment interregional project.

After a year of successful tests in Bliesen (Germany), APATEQ WaterPaq was recently moved to the Siden epuration station of Heiderscheidergrund (Luxembourg) for the next phase of the project. The 2 containers solution WaterPaq perform the micro-pollutants removal thanks to 4 purification lines, in order to study different removal techniques at the same time.

The CoMinGreat project aims to bring together and harmonize knowledge about the micro-pollutants in the Greater Region, to strengthen existing skills, to transfer knowledge and promote cross-border cooperation. The micro-pollutants to which the project refers to are pharmaceutical/cosmetic products, like hormones and drugs, pesticides from agriculture and PolyFluoroAlkyl Substances ( ). These dangerous and potentially carcinogenic molecules are present in the environment in concentrations between parts per trillion (ppt) and parts per billion (ppb), harming first the wildlife and then human beings.

MICROPLASTICS IN DRINKING WATER

Every year, more than 8 million tons of plastic waste enter in the oceans. Plastics and microplastics (small particles with diameter less than five millimeters) can take hundreds or even thousands of years to decompose.

Microplastics have been found also in drinking water. According to a research conducted in 2017, of the 159 samples collected from 14 countries, 83% were found to contain plastic particles. The US scored the highest contamination rate at 94%, while European nations, including the UK, Germany, and France had the lowest rate, despite still scoring a staggering 72%.

The European Drinking Water Directive (DWD) has aimed to include microplastic on the watch list of emerging compounds by 2024, encouraging member states to take preventive measures to reduce microplastic in case too high numbers are reported.

Both preventive and removal measures are adopted in tackling the microplastic contamination in water. Wastewater and drinking water treatment systems are some of the most effective removal measures.
