Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, to Luxembourg.

This visit highlighted the strength of the collaboration between Luxembourg and the European Commission, as well as the key role of emergency.lu in supporting crisis response operations worldwide.

At HITEC Luxembourg S.A., we are proud to contribute to this operational ecosystem alongside committed partners such as SES and Luxembourg Air Rescue A.s.b.l.

Beyond satellite communication and ICT capabilities 📡, emergency.lu represents a concrete and coordinated response to today’s humanitarian challenges: deployment of humanitarian stock 🚛, support for medical evacuations ✈️, and assistance to international emergency missions.

At a time when humanitarian needs continue to grow, we remain fully committed to strengthening our operational capabilities and supporting actions wherever help is needed most.

For us, sustainability has always meant more than protecting our planet. We believe a truly sustainable company is also an inclusive one. That’s been our conviction since signing the Charte de la Diversité Lëtzebuerg in 2020.

For Diversity Day Lëtzebuerg, our colleagues showed up with dishes from home, from their travels, from recipes passed down through generations. Here’s a taste of who we are:

🇱🇧 Florence Dyer brought Aubergine traybake — a Levantine staple from Lebanese cuisine, packed with rich Mediterranean flavors like sumac, tahini, and pomegranate.

🇷🇴 Narcis Paun shared Placinta cu mere — a traditional Romanian apple pie, made using a treasured recipe passed down through generations.

🇹🇳 Bilel AMAMOU introduced us to Tajine Tunisien — a savory, egg-based dish that is traditionally shared during festive family gatherings.

Different countries, different stories, different ways of seeing the world. And yet, every day, we work together on projects that travel even further than any of us have.

Days like today remind us what we love most about our office and the way we work.

Big news from our space division! 🛰️
We are proud to be part of TransEuroOGS, a new European project that will establish a network of interoperable Optical Ground Stations for quantum-secure satellite communication across Germany, Greece, Ireland and Luxembourg.

With a budget of approximately €18 million co-funded by the European Commission, TransEuroOGS is a landmark project within the EuroQCI initiative, Europe’s programme to build a quantum-secure communication infrastructure across the entire EU.

HITEC Luxembourg S.A. is the industry partner of the Luxembourg national ecosystem, alongside the Department of Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy (SMC), Sigcom Group at the University of Luxembourg and Fondation Restena.

Across the four countries, the 15-partner consortium brings together leading research institutions, national space agencies and industry:

🇩🇪 Fraunhofer IOF (coordinator) | German Aerospace Center, DLR | FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg

🇱🇺 Department of Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy (SMC) | Sigcom Group at the University of Luxembourg | Fondation Restena | HITEC Luxembourg S.A.

🇮🇪 Walton Institute | MBRYONICS

🇬🇷 ΕΔΥΤΕ - Εθνικό Δίκτυο Υποδομών Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας - GRNET | Hellenic Space Center | Εθνικόν Αστεροσκοπείον Αθηνών National Observatory of Athens | Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης Aristotle University of Thessaloniki | Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas | Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence

The project kicked off on April 29–30 in Berlin and Jena, bringing together some 30 experts from across Europe. For our team, this is a natural extension of the work we’ve been doing in optical ground systems, and a remarkable opportunity to contribute to something that will shape how Europe communicates securely for decades to come.

And just like that, we’re back from New Delhi! 🇮🇳
We spent three days at the India Rubber Expo 2026 alongside our partner Toshniwal Brothers (SR) Private Limited and a lot to take back with us:

Meeting customers we’d only ever spoken to remotely. Shaking hands with new prospects. Feeling the pace and ambition of the Indian rubber market up close. These are the things that remind you why showing up in person matters.

A highlight we didn’t expect: the visit of H.E. Christian Biever, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to India, to our stand. A moment that meant a lot to our team and a reminder that what we’re building here goes beyond business.

We are leaving India with one clear conviction: HITEC’s precision instruments, backed by Toshniwal Brothers (SR) Private Limited’s deep local expertise and relationships, is exactly the kind of partnership this market deserves.

Thank you to everyone who came by Booth L011.
We look forward to the work ahead. 🇱🇺

That’s the question we posed to future graduates at the annual ANEIL meeting. 🙂‍↕️

Thomas Weyland represented HITEC on stage. Between the presentation, the Q&A and the open forum, there was no shortage of good conversations.

Know a student who’s figuring out their next step in engineering? Share this post with them. And if you still have a question in mind, drop it in the comments or check out our open positions and internship opportunities below.

Thank you ANEIL for making this great event happen every year. Who knows, the next time we meet, it might just be on the first day of a new job. 👷🏼‍♀️👷🏼

Behind every space mission, there’s a ground team. We build what they rely on. 👩🏼‍🚀
This week, Philippe Osch and Yves Leiner are at the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, at the LSA pavilion!

They’re here to meet people working in the space industry and talk about what we do best:
🔭 Building and installing optical and RF ground stations
📡 Relaying and securing customer traffic so nothing gets missed
🛰️ Tracking and controlling spacecraft throughout their entire mission

For a company that has been engineering critical space infrastructure for decades, this is our opportunity to connect with the people and organisations who will define how humanity operates in space.
