We are Igate Būve - a Latvian construction company specialising in construction out of timber. Our core experience is with glued laminated timber beams or Glulam (GLT), and cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels. Although our core competence is timber constructions, our capacity is not limited to that - there are other construction elements (steal, concrete, etc) and tasks that we are able to provide along with construction of timber structures.
We have close ties (starting from common headquarters) with a timber engineering office Rodentia, and a glulam production plant IKTK. We are also affiliated with a road construction company Igate CBS. These relationships immensely build to our expertise, capacity, and resourcefulness. We have provided clients a full design-manufacture-construction cycle for more than 10 builds, from the head of the company’s home and office to public buildings: open-air stages and concert halls in Jelgava and Krimūnas Parish, bridges, and other structures. These projects have been recognised with Latvian Construction of the Year Awards, Latvian Association of Structural Engineers and Latvian Builders Association Annual Awards.
In 2020, we completed our first construction project outside Latvia - in Denmark. This was an electric car charging station made from Glued Laminated Timber; commissioned by Clever, a Danish electric charging station and mobility solution company, and designed by Cobe, a Danish architecture firm.
