Autumn started with science🍁🍂🍁!
RISEus2 is grateful to be able to support RTU RBIDC ESRs 4th year PhD student Karīna Egle and 3rd year PhD student Artemijs Sceglovs to participate in an internationally recognised event, the 33rd Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (September, 4-8, 2023) https://esb2023.org/ and dissemination their scientific results!
Karina's research work is related to platelet-rich fibrin-based matrices for tissue regeneration.
Artemij's research work is related to injectable antibacterial hydrogel-based biomaterials for tissue engineering applications.
Up to now, RISEus2 has supported 5 ESRs to participate in world-class scientific conferences!

RISEus2 was very happy to support RTU RBIDC ESR 3rd year PhD student Ilijana Kovrlija to participate in the internationally recognized event, the XVIIIth Conference of the European Ceramic Society ECerS 2023 !
Her research is focused on octacalcium phosphate synthesis and characterization for bone tissue regeneration. Ilijana’s presented study showed how to create unique drug delivery vehicles based on octacalcium phosphate!
Moreover, Ilijana has won 2nd place in the Student Speech Contest as a representative of Latvia🇱🇻! Congratulations, Ilijana Kovrlija
