In June, the ReālProjekts team spent a day visiting several completed projects designed by our engineers.
For us, site visits are an important part of professional development and design quality improvement. Design work should not remain only within drawings, models and coordination processes. It is equally important to see how the solutions we develop works in real life.
During the visit, we looked at completed design solutions, discussed our experience from the design and author supervision perspective, and reflected on what worked well and what we can improve in future projects.
Seeing constructed solutions in reality, gives a different level of understanding. It shows which decisions have worked as intended, where details matter more than expected, and how design-stage choices influence construction, maintenance and the final result.
The day was also valuable from a team perspective. Discussions outside the everyday office environment help us better understand each other’s experience, practical challenges and professional viewpoints across different project stages.
The feedback gathered during the day will help us continue improving our internal processes, work more efficiently and further strengthen the quality of our design work.
