We have just completed the digitisation of two manufacturing quarters in Riga, together with Sunwise and Realto.

Using drone photogrammetry, we delivered:

-high-resolution 3D models and orthophotos,
-a vector BIM model derived directly from the drone survey.

These deliverables allow Sunwise to accurately plan and position solar panels, while Realto, as the property owner, can use the digital model for planning, measurements, inspections, and long-term asset management.

A practical example of how drone-based data and BIM support renewable energy projects and data-driven property management.

Advanced cut & fill analysis from drone or laser scan data

Most online tools provide only basic volume estimates, using a flat or simple triangulated plane as the base. This is useful for quick checks on stockpiles with flat surfaces — but not sufficient for real construction accuracy.

At AirScout, we deliver engineering-grade earthworks measurements using a full workflow:
-Point clouds from drones or laser scanners
-Surface creation in CAD software (existing ground, design layers, or any custom reference surface)
-Accurate cut & fill analysis with depth intervals and detailed material maps
-Clear, professional reporting for contractors and engineers

By comparing volumes against true topography or design models, we achieve significantly higher accuracy than standard online tools.

We’re excited to share that AirScout is now combining drone data with handheld LiDAR/camera scans, using the latest Xgrids Innovation PortalCam, to create immersive, photorealistic 3D tours.

This technology is new to the market and lets you explore spaces in a completely different way — you can explore the model in a Counter-Strike–style first-person mode using WASD, enjoy a smooth cinematic fly-through, and even take measurements directly inside the model.

If you want to try it out, we’ll be glad to create a test project for you so you can experience the quality and potential firsthand.

Great to see our work featured!

We’re proud to have contributed to the Rail Baltica RIX Airport station project together with BSL Infra, EDZL, AKomanda, and other partners — showcasing how modern geodesy, 3D scanning, and photogrammetry bring today’s construction into the digital world.

Special thanks to Maksims Pikalovs for representing our team and sharing his expertise during the visit. It’s inspiring to see RTU Geomatics students taking such interest in the future of digital construction!

We’ve just finished a laser scanning and photogrammetry survey for a new disaster management center building in Latvia, in partnership with Pillar Contractor

Using FARO scanners and DJI drones, we captured a high-precision reality model of the site. A full-color point cloud in LKS-92 coordinates, enabling Pillar to check BIM models against real conditions – both in terms of geometry and installed elements.

With the help of Cintoo software, any deviations between model and reality can be reviewed directly in the browser, ensuring higher construction quality and early issue detection.
