One of the largest projects currently in production.

This custom VPF vacuum press features a 4000 × 1500 mm working area and is being built for PVC foil applications.

Projects of this size require much more than simply increasing dimensions. Frame rigidity, heating uniformity, vacuum performance and long-term reliability become even more critical as machine size grows.

Every custom project brings its own engineering challenges, and we enjoy solving them.

Production update from our workshop

Several projects are currently in progress at ISTRA Vacuum Presses.

Four presses are ready for shipment to Germany, while another custom machine with a 4000 × 2000 mm aluminium working table is currently being assembled for non-standard applications and special production tasks.

At the same time, our team is working on a large and technically complex project, which we will be able to share more details about soon.

Another shipment is on its way to a professional woodworking workshop in Israel.

In 2025, our equipment was delivered to 25+ countries across Europe and beyond.

During the year, we manufactured 70+ industrial vacuum presses
and vacuum systems, supporting professional manufacturers

Planned vacuum pump maintenance

Moisture and clogged filters are common reasons for unstable vacuum performance — especially in workshops with temperature changes and high humidity.

In this video we show:
– how to remove moisture from the pump by running it without a part
– why a 10-15-minute purge at the end of the shift helps
– how to check and clean the pump filter
– when the filter must be replaced

Simple preventive steps that help keep vacuum level stable and extend pump lifetime.

Custom vacuum press for heavy-duty applications

This project was built as a fully custom solution
for a client working with large and heavy panels.

We manufactured a VPR Series press with a non-standard working area of 3600 × 1700 mm, designed for handling panels with a weight of up to 300 kg.

Key custom features:
reinforced frame construction for high loads
extended working area for large-format panels
custom lid opening angle — 65° instead of the standard 45°, improving access and safety when working with heavy materials

The press was produced for a customer in Sweden, a manufacturer of sandwich panels for industrial applications.

Each project is engineered individually,
based on the material, weight, and production requirements.
