A few days ago, we shared one of the largest projects currently in production at ISTRA Vacuum Presses.

Today, the machine is complete and ready for shipment.

This custom VPF vacuum press features a 4000 × 1500 mm working area and was designed for PVC foil applications.

Large-format presses require careful attention to every detail — from frame rigidity and heating uniformity to vacuum performance and long-term reliability. As machine dimensions increase, maintaining consistent process quality becomes increasingly demanding.

After assembly, testing and final inspection, the press is now prepared for transport to the customer.

Production update from our workshop

Several projects are currently in progress at ISTRA Vacuum Presses.

Four presses are ready for shipment to Germany, while another custom machine with a 4000 × 2000 mm aluminium working table is currently being assembled for non-standard applications and special production tasks.

At the same time, our team is working on a large and technically complex project, which we will be able to share more details about soon.

Another shipment is on its way to a professional woodworking workshop in Israel.

🔹 ISTRA VP-4300 — configured with extended hood clearance (600 mm inside) for high and complex parts.
🔹 ISTRA VPR-3500 — delivered for demonstration and local sales.

This project is more than just a delivery.

Together with our partners, we are preparing a future professional conference for woodworkers in Israel, where industry specialists will share real business experience, production insights, and practical know-how.

Planned vacuum pump maintenance

Moisture and clogged filters are common reasons for unstable vacuum performance — especially in workshops with temperature changes and high humidity.

In this video we show:
– how to remove moisture from the pump by running it without a part
– why a 10-15-minute purge at the end of the shift helps
– how to check and clean the pump filter
– when the filter must be replaced

Simple preventive steps that help keep vacuum level stable and extend pump lifetime.
