Sarir gas turbine power plant 3x250MW is one of the most important power plant in Libya, It produces 750MW and had been built in sarir desert around 600 km east south of Benghazi city. It contains three units type SGT5-4000F which designed by SIEMENS company. rldwide. Siemens annular combustor gas turbine are single-shaft machine of single-casing design. A common rotor is shared by compressor and turbine. This ensures stable correct alignment and very smooth running properties. This rotor is supported in two bearings which lie outside the pressurized region. The overall gas turbine is a compact unit which is completely assembled at the manufacturing plant. The casing rests on supports at the front bearing pedestal and at the rear outer casing. The gas turbine consists of the following major components and systems:

Sarir gas turbine power plant equip with Balance Of Plant (BOP) which given supports for gas turbine running in stable and safe conditions. The balance of plant had been built by HYUNDAI engineering and construction company which consists of the following major components and systems:
