In 2025, Ukraine's leading grain traders collectively lost nearly 40 billion UAH in revenue (~$970.8 million USD) - APK INFORM
The total revenue of Ukraine's top ten grain traders in 2025 amounted to approximately 180 billion UAH (~$4.37 billion USD), which is 38.8 billion UAH ($941.7 million USD) less than the previous year. Despite the massive scale of operations, the industry is simultaneously experiencing a decline in income and a sharp deterioration in financial results: six out of ten companies ended the year with losses, reports Delo.ua, citing YouControl data.
"The largest revenue reductions were shown by traditional international traders. Specifically, ADM Ukraine lost 13.7 billion UAH ($332.5 million USD) in turnover, Cargill — 11.5 billion UAH ($279.1 million USD), CFG Trading — about 6 billion UAH ($145.6 million USD), Bunge — over 5 billion UAH ($121.3 million USD), and Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine — 4.2 billion UAH ($101.9 million USD)," the report states.
As noted, the primary reason for the revenue decline is the reduction in physical export volumes. In the 2024/25 season, Ukraine exported about 40.6 million tons of grain, while in the current season, volumes decreased by approximately 20-25%, or by 6-7 million tons.
