Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Extension 3/3 – Interior Design
The office layouts, which include uninterrupted glazed facades, were designed to maximise natural light. In fact, the open plan offices are located along the facade, while the meeting areas and cellular offices set away from the facade. In this way, light is allowed to enter across the open plan, and into the cellular offices, which are generally formed with glazed partitions. To further maximise light, the sill level was kept as low as possible, meeting the top of the desks. The darker spaces are located furthest from the facades, behind the cellular offices. These spaces include the W.C. facilities, kitchenettes and stores. Generally, all office spaces enjoy views and a link to the outside.
The materials utilised include, vinyl weave flooring, with localised patterned weave, tiled and flat soffits, proprietary HPL and glazed partitions, and a more heard wearing finish for the kitchenettes, bathrooms and lobbies. The materials utilised follow the brands corporate standard, but with a slight twist. The furniture compliments the flooring, the proprietary partitions and timber clad walls.
