At the Chamber of Engineers (COE) 33rd Annual Engineering Conference, Inġ. Thelma Bonello, Manager Global Engineering Systems at Methode Malta joined the “Data Engineering as an Operational Advantage” panel discussion, sharing insights on how connected engineering systems and structured data are transforming operations.

During the discussion, Thelma highlighted how integrated platforms connecting engineering data, BOM structures, sourcing, compliance, and project management are helping organisations make faster, more proactive decisions.

She also spoke about the importance of governance, automation, and creating a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) across teams and systems.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming two groups of students to Methode Electronics Malta.

We first hosted some electrical engineering students from the University of Malta, a mix of both local and international students and then a very special group of younger children from St. Edward’s College. These young students visited us as winners of the 2026 Science Fair Award. Their interest and questions were a great reminder of how important it is to share what we do from a young age to spark curiosity and interest in what Engineering is all about.

From future engineers to young minds, supporting education and sparking interest in STEM is something we truly value.

During the KSU Career Expo at University of Malta, our team had the opportunity to connect with many students exploring their future paths.

Across the three days, our HR and Engineering colleagues spoke with students about careers in engineering, what it’s like to work in a technology-driven environment, and how young professionals can start building their experience early.

One thing stood out clearly - students were genuinely interested not only in job opportunities, but in understanding how teams collaborate, what skills matter most in the industry, and how engineers grow their careers in practice.

For us, these conversations are always valuable. They give us a glimpse into what the next generation of engineers is curious about, what motivates them, and how we can continue creating opportunities for future talent.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at out stand. It was lovely meeting so many bright students and sharing a bit about the people and work behind our company.

Yesterday, we proudly participated in a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with Blood Donation Malta - NBTS.

Our employees came together for one simple but powerful reason: to help save lives. Each donation has the potential to support patients in urgent need of care, and we are grateful to everyone who stepped forward to contribute to this meaningful cause.

At Methode, we believe that supporting our community goes beyond the workplace. It is about showing up, giving back, and making a real difference where it matters most.

We are very proud that Dean Rossi, an Engineer at Methode, was invited to the 2026 Science Fair at St. Edward’s College, where Year 7 and Year 8 students presented their annual science projects. This year’s themes were Space Travel and Food Science - challenging students to think big and apply scientific thinking to real-world ideas.

As a guest judge, Dean was privileged to experience firsthand the creativity, research, and problem-solving skills of these young children.

We believe that investing time and attention in the younger generation matters and that's also why the winning students will have the opportunity to visit Methode Electronics Malta for a tour, offering them a closer look at how ideas move from concept to real-world application.
