Junior Accountant – Full Time
Seifert Systems Ltd is a manufacturing subsidiary of a German family-owned company. The Maltese plant manufactures, sells and distributes thermal ventilation, illumination, and dehumidification equipment for the industry across the globe. With its over 30-year presence in Malta, the company employs over 400 individuals.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the selected candidate’s duties include:
Carrying out reconciliations for bank, debtors, suppliers, and general ledger entries.
Preparing cash reports and bank payments.
Assisting in the implementation of new internal controls.
Preparing and maintain periodic stock reconciliations together with financial and costing/manufacturing related reports.
Compiling and reporting statistical information and other statutory information.
Assisting with month-end related tasks, whilst liaising with company stakeholders including Auditors, Debtors and Creditors.
Collaborating with IT department to enhance financial automation and reporting.
Preparing VAT returns.
Providing support in financial analysis and ongoing projects.
Overseeing and supporting accounts clerks in their daily duties together with other day to day work within the department as may be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous work experience in a manufacturing accounts department and basic knowledge of Oracle Business Suite will be considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills, and most of all be a team player.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
A keen eye for detail, be analytical, organised and accurate.
The ability to work with limited supervision and adapt to new reporting or work practices.
Excellent command of written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
Qualifications required:
A fully qualified Accountant, or a partially qualified Accountant with relevant hands-on experience.
Good command of the English Language, both written and spoken.
