Matrix stimulation in a sandstone reservoir and a carbonate reservoir share the same objective - restore production - but the mechanism is different.

In sandstone, the treatment targets damage to the near-wellbore zone: scale, mineral deposits, formation damage that has reduced the effective permeability around the wellbore. The chemistry is specific to the deposit type and the formation mineralogy.

In carbonate, controlled overpressure injection creates a network of dissolution channels through the rock matrix - wormholes that substantially increase contact area between formation and wellbore.

A cooling tower that's been operational for 20 years without a structured maintenance programme doesn't usually fail dramatically. It degrades - in thermal performance, in structural condition, in the reliability of the systems it supports.

VAOS Limited (Value Added Oilfield Services) was contracted to revamp a process plant cooling system in Libya. Structural assessment and repair, replacement of degraded fill and distribution components, fan system overhaul, electrical and control updates, full surface protection before recommissioning.

The plant returned to service with measurably better performance and a documented condition baseline.

A large crude oil storage tank is expected to operate for 25 to 40 years. The decisions made during construction - foundation quality, welding standard, surface protection, cathodic protection design - determine whether it actually does.

VAOS Limited (Value Added Oilfield Services) has constructed more than 30 storage tanks with capacities up to 1,000,000 barrels. Full EPC scope: site preparation and foundations, shell er****on, roof installation, all ancillary piping and instrumentation, coating and cathodic protection, commissioning including hydrostatic test.

All to API 650. All documented. One contractor responsible for every phase.

The rehabilitation scope: affected section replaced, cathodic protection upgraded at the repair zone, post-reinstatement pressure test before the line returned to service.

No one enters the tank. Not for inspection. Not for cleaning. Not at any stage.

The cleaning head is deployed through existing tank roof legs. Product stored in the tank circulates at pressure, breaking down and mobilising the sludge layer. The slurry is extracted closed-loop back to VAOS Limited (Value Added Oilfield Services) temporarily installed ATC system - nothing open, nothing uncontrolled.

The operator stands outside and monitors flow rates, pressure and recovery volumes in real time throughout.
