The Opuntia Project
Inspired by the distinctive form and resilience of the Opuntia cactus, this project brings together traditional craftsmanship, contemporary metalwork and refined interior design.
A collaboration between Christian Bezzina of Medina Steels and Owen Axisa of OA Interior Design, combining creativity, skilled artisanship and innovative design.
Crafted using steel and leather, the project celebrates the strength of collaboration and the possibilities created when different crafts come together.
Not simply a design piece, but a statement of Maltese craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail.
Co-funded by the Malta Crafts Foundation through Premju Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti 2024.
