Confidence in our country. Pride in our roots. Ambition for what comes next.

At the launch of INNSiDE by Meliá Bugibba, we celebrated the first four hotels in our planned portfolio of at least 10 with Meliá Hotels International.

Prime Minister Robert Abela, Meliá’s Alfredo Aznar and Maria Agius share their thoughts on a partnership built on trust, local character and a shared commitment to quality tourism in Malta and Gozo.

What a wonderful evening to celebrate how far we’ve come ✨

At INNSiDE by Meliá Bugibba, we brought together our teams, partners and friends to mark a new chapter for and Blue Clay Collection, alongside Prime Minister Robert Abela and Meliá Hotels International.

Thank you to everyone helping us bring this vision to life across Malta and Gozo. Here’s a glimpse of the celebration.

It began with a small warehouse in Gozo and a family serving its island community.

75 years and three generations later, Agius Group brings together hundreds of people across hospitality, retail, property, infrastructure, ride-hailing, recycling and warehousing.

Our most ambitious step yet is a portfolio of at least 10 hotels with Meliá Hotels International through Blue Clay Collection.

Four of them have already been opened.

This is our story, and a look at what comes next.

We are proud to play a key role in Meliá’s significant expansion across Malta and Gozo, operating through the hospitality arm Blue Clay Collection, with nine new hotels planned over the next three years, including the opening of the first INNSide by Meliá in Buġibba this June.

The recent visit by Meliá CEO Gabriel Escarrer further reinforced our long-held belief: Malta is a destination with exceptional potential and a strong commitment to high-quality tourism. Exciting times lie ahead 🇲🇹
