She Invested Her Pension in a Maize Mill... Today She Feeds Thousands | A True Malawi Success Story

There are moments in life when one decision changes everything.
After retiring from public service, she received her gratuity and pension. Like many people, she faced a difficult question:
"What do I do with my money?”
Her family had gone through challenging times, and she wanted to invest in something that would create a better future.
Between 1998 and 1999, she kept hearing Agason Motors' radio advertisements. Curious and determined, she visited our store looking for guidance. She had never owned a maize mill before and knew very little about the business, but she was willing to learn.
With Agason's support, she purchased her very first maize mill and installed it in Chikhunda, operating it from a rented building for two years. As the business grew, she invested in a second mill in Ndirande, followed by two more as demand continued to increase.
By 2010, she had grown her business to six maize mills.
Today, three of those mills are still operating, continuing to serve their communities and ensuring families return home with flour to feed their loved ones.
This is more than a business success story.
It's a story of courage.
A story of perseverance.
A story of turning uncertainty into opportunity.
For over 62 years, Agason has been helping Malawians build businesses that strengthen families, create jobs, and serve communities across the nation.
