We're proud to celebrate an exciting milestone in Drone Link's journey.
Since our founding, Drone Link has been committed to transforming agriculture and environmental management through drone technology, geospatial intelligence, and AI-driven solutions. From supporting smallholder farmers to helping organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions, our mission has always been to build technology that creates meaningful impact.
Today, we're excited to share another defining achievement.
Our Founder & CEO, Rachel Kaunda, has been selected as one of the Top 14 Finalists in the Le Shift Lab Green + Digital Incubation Programme, an initiative supported by the French Embassy and hosted by the Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct at Wits University. Rachel is also proud to be one of only three founders selected from Malawi and the only female founder among them.
This recognition is more than a personal achievement—it is a strong validation of Drone Link's vision to use cutting-edge technology to build climate-smart, resilient, and sustainable agricultural systems across Africa.
What does this mean for Drone Link?
It means we'll be joining a community of some of Southern Africa's most promising innovators while gaining access to:
World-class mentorship from industry experts.
Investment readiness support to strengthen our business for future growth.
International investor exposure and strategic funding opportunities.
French Greentech networks and European innovation ecosystems.
World-class research and makerspace facilities.
Cross-border collaboration with founders, corporates, and innovation leaders solving global climate challenges.
The opportunity to pitch at Demo Day and, for top-performing startups, compete for an immersion experience in France to connect with leading technology companies, investors, and partners.
For Drone Link, this represents an opportunity to accelerate our growth, strengthen our technology, expand strategic partnerships, and scale our impact across Malawi and the African continent.
To our clients, partners, farmers, investors, mentors, friends, and the incredible Drone Link team—thank you. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in our vision have made this milestone possible.
Most importantly, we are grateful to God for His grace, faithfulness, and the doors He continues to open.
This is only the beginning.
We're building technology that helps feed the future, strengthens climate resilience, and empowers communities.
And we're just getting started.
