WHY AND HOW WE STARTED

Our executive directors Peter and Beatrice Matipwiri (above) led to the foundation of PBM Construction. Before 2013, PBM Construction was just a Malawian registered company (with no record of activity). It was until June 2013, when Peter Matipwiri (previously WASH country director, at world vision) and Beatrice Matipwiri (previously an employee at USAID) left their jobs and focused on their dream, and landed PBM Construction’s first construction project.

Both Peter and Beatrice Matipwiri traveled a lot during their lifetime, and were inspired by how far in technology and infrastructural development other countries were, and with the aim of taking Malawi’s infrastructural state to another level, Peter and Beatrice Matipwiri decided on PBM Construction.

At PBM Construction, we really want to make a change in Africa, and it all starts with changing home (Malawi). We really want to improve Malawi’s living conditions, job opportunities and its developmental state, and we know the best way to achieve this starts with constructing modern monumental Infrastructure.
