SALES AGENTS (10 POSITIONS)

Location: Lilongwe and Blantyre (with possible deployment in surrounding areas)

Integrated Water and Energy Technologies Limited (IWET) is a youth-led enterprise committed to expanding access to affordable, clean, and modern energy solutions across Malawi. IWET specializes in the distribution of solar PV systems, solar-powered irrigation technologies, and clean cooking solutions through innovative financing models such as Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO).
As part of our partnership in the Last Mile eCook Distribution Project, IWET is seeking to recruit 10 motivated and results-driven Sales Agents to support the promotion and sale of clean cooking technologies (eCook stoves) in urban and peri-urban areas of Lilongwe.
Position Summary
The Sales Agents will be responsible for driving product awareness, customer acquisition, sales, and basic customer support for eCook products. The role requires active community engagement, demonstrations, and customer onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct door-to-door marketing and community mobilization
• Demonstrate eCook products to potential customers
• Identify and register eligible customers
• Facilitate product sales and PAYGO activation
• Collect customer data (household details, GPS location, photos)
• Provide basic user training to customers
• Support after-sales follow-ups and customer satisfaction
• Meet assigned sales targets and submit regular reports
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• TEVET certificates in Renewable Energy, or Marketing, or related field (added advantage)
• Proven experience in sales, marketing, or community engagement (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet targets
• Basic smartphone literacy (data collection apps will be used)
• Knowledge of PAYGO systems is an added advantage
• Must be resident in Lilongwe or surrounding areas
