Hello. Hardware guy here.

Now, for the past 10 years I’ve had that ruler beside me and has been exceptionally useful for measuring any stuff. But the time has come to upgrade it, and after a long awaited and long required I got a beautiful Mitutoyo caliper.

I kept pushing things around with the ruler and it mostly got the work done, but recently as we get more projects it is essential to have proper tools, specially when working with tiny stuff like electronics and getting the numbers right between the mechanical engineering and me.

This is one exceptional tool to say the least. We got it from Travers Tool México so be sure to check it out.

Today we’ve been printing and testing small parts in the printer. More specifically, we printed a series of bevel spur gears to see if they can be printed with varying heights and teeth count, as well as some very thin cylindrical axes.

The last one is specially cool since it has its internal diameter extruded so that it can hug better the axis.

All of them printed with PLA+ in under 10 min.
