The staircase was never just circulation.

In this project, it became the spine of the house — connecting three levels vertically and four programs horizontally: the main entrance, a contemplation courtyard, two studies, and the social heart of the home.

The brutalist language — raw board-formed concrete, bold volumes — lives in deliberate tension with the warmth of wood and the softness of filtered light. As the day moves, so does the house. The shadows on concrete are never the same twice.

Basement to ground floor to upper floor. Public to private. Arrival to stillness.

This is what happens before the photos.

A dining table at this scale doesn’t arrive and sit down. It arrives and gets placed, by a team that knows the difference between close enough and exactly right.

The table you see in the finished videos took eight people and a day to get there. The client sees the result. This is the part they don’t.

The front door is the part of your house you see every single day. Most people have never really looked at it.

It is the first thing a guest notices and the last thing you touch before the world begins. It carries the weight of the entire house in a single gesture, material, proportion, hardware, threshold. Every detail visible, nothing to hide behind.

We have spent a lot of time thinking about doors. Here is a collection of some we have designed.

The guest room tells you everything about the host.

Not the living room, not the kitchen, the room someone designed for people who aren’t staying forever. The care that goes into a space built for someone else is a quiet statement about how much you value presence over possession.

These are two of the guest bedrooms from our ongoing project in Atlanta. Each has its own character, same material language, different story. Designed to feel like somewhere you’d choose to stay, not somewhere you ended up.

A great guest room doesn’t feel like a spare room. It feels like an invitation.

The powder room is the most honest room in any house.

Every guest enters it. There’s no furniture to hide behind, no art arrangement to distract from the walls, no rug to soften an awkward floor. Just the design, completely exposed.

This one is from a private residence in Guadalajara. In a room this small, every decision is final, the material, the fixture, the proportion. There is nowhere to hide a mistake. And no reason to hold anything back.

The powder room is where we take risks. Where the client asks “can we really do this?” And where the answer is always yes.

The dining room is where the style of a house declares itself most clearly.

This is part of an ongoing remodel, mid-century modern, built around what was already there. Existing layout, existing furniture. We kept what had good bones, reimagined what needed it, and designed the rest from scratch. Every decision made to feel like it was always supposed to be this way.

The dining room especially. It’s the room you pass through, eat in, linger at, the one guests remember. It earned the full treatment.

Not everything starts from scratch.

This children’s bedroom is part of an ongoing remodel, mid-century modern in spirit, built around what was already there. Existing structure. Existing furniture. We worked with all of it. What had potential, we kept and reimagined. What was missing, we designed from the ground up.

Good design doesn’t always mean starting over. Sometimes it means knowing exactly what to keep.

Where the desert meets the sea, and design meets its match.

This residence in Los Cabos was a full architecture and interior design commission — every space conceived to exist in conversation with the landscape. The light here is unlike anywhere else, and it became the third material in every decision we made.

When a place already has this much to say, your job as a designer is to listen first.
