大埔發生五級火警🚨。周三（26日）下午2時51分，宏福苑宏昌閣外牆棚架起火，驚動多人報案。大火其後蔓延到宏泰閣等樓宇。消防預計救援行動最少會持續至周四(27日)黃昏。

消防周四清晨5時指，40人在現場不治，另有4名傷者送院後證實死亡，即累計死亡人數至少44人。另外有56名傷者獲處理，其中45名傷者嚴重。警方就大火拘捕工程公司3名負責人導致事件，包括2名董事、1名工程顧問，年介52至68歲。

A level-5 fire broke out in Tai Po. On Wednesday (26th) at 2:51 PM, scaffolding on the exterior wall of Hong Cheung House at Hong Fu Court caught fire, prompting numerous emergency calls. The blaze later spread to Hong Tai House and other buildings. The Fire Services Department estimated that the rescue operation would continue at least until Thursday (27th) evening.

At 5 AM Thursday, the Fire Services Department stated that 40 people were pronounced dead at the scene, and another 4 injured victims were confirmed dead after being sent to hospital, bringing the total death toll to at least 44. In addition, 56 injured people received medical treatment, 45 of whom are in serious condition.
Police have arrested three persons in charge from the engineering company involved in the incident, including two directors and one engineering consultant, aged 52 to 68.

May Hong Kong be blessed, and may all rescue efforts proceed safely.
