Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an R&D Engineer at Penchem Technologies Sdn Bhd in Bukit Mertajam. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for conducting research, development, testing, and product development activities to create innovative polymer solutions for different industries. The role encompasses a blend of theoretical research, evaluations, and practical hands-on work.
Requirements:
1) The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Polymers, Materials Science, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
2) Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in Polymers, Materials, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
3) Experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on skills in TMA, DMA, DSC, TGA, thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity, FTIR analysis, root cause analysis, and experimental design is highly advantageous.
4) Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is a plus, as the role may involve communication with overseas Mandarin-speaking associates and customers from China.
5) A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience is required.
