Megajana was incorporated in September 1998 as a developer of District Cooling System (DCS) in Cyberjaya. It is a joint venture company between Cyberview Sdn Bhd – the landowner of Cyberjaya and Engie Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd – a regional subsidiary of one of Europe’s leading names for environmental and energy ef
ficiency.The DCS generates chilled water for air-conditioning requirements within Cyberjaya. Under the system, plants dispense chilled water using underground insulated pipes to surrounding buildings. The chilled water is used to cool the buildings before being channeled back to the cooling plants to be chilled again, reducing the amount of energy that would otherwise be needed to cool individual buildings.Megajana has 3 plants located within Cyberjaya with a total plant capacity of 20,000 Refrigerant Tonnes (RT). The plants are currently supplying chilled water to 46 multi-storey buildings in Cyberjaya. In line with the government’s aspiration to develop Cyberjaya as a green and sustainable Township, Megajana has contributed to that development by providing the DCS that offers energy efficiency, resources preservation, and environmental impact reduction.
