At the K 2022 plastics and rubber trade fair in Düsseldorf, some of the exhibits of the machine manufacturer BOY will be presented with a new visualisation of the machine control on booth A 43 in hall 13.
The ALPHA 6 - the designated successor to the still current Procan ALPHA 4 control system - is immediately recognisable by its 16: 9 screen format.
The TFT-colour display of the ALPHA 6 has a Full-HD resolution with 1920 x 1080 pixels (px) and operates with the Multitouch PCT-technology (projected capacitive).
The display of the symbols has been changed to a design that is particularly comfortable for the eyes. Special focus has been placed on soft colours and a structured symbolism.

Saurer - Smart Doffing: Zero underwinding Spinnfinity

Spinnfinity is the most modern device for doffing without underwinding on the market. Dirt-resistant, durable and lightweight – these are the qualities that enable Spinnfinity to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve ergonomics.

Increasing automation in spinning mills places ever greater demands on all components. Spinnfinity scores well in this context, both as regards function and through the reduction of yarn waste.

Lower energy consumption
The new solution from Texparts is the lightest on the market. The spring reduces the centrifugal forces and friction of the spindles. This in turn, reduces energy consumption.

Additional function: practical cleaning position
Spinnfinity can be locked into a cleaning position and gently cleaned with compressed air. This means that personnel can have both hands free.

- Less energy consumption: Barely any friction losses due to its light construction
- Superior design: Ensures dust resistance

Moulding Assist from BOY.

A further step towards the digitalisation of injection moulding machines is achieved with the "Moulding Assist" software.
With this intelligent assistant, injection moulding defects that have occurred can be identified.
The digital assistant provides the user with solution proposals to eliminate the injection moulding defects directly at the injection moulding machine.

Menu-controlled the programme shows the user a large number of injection moulding defects in order to determine the category of the defect in question. Comparisons with the images stored in the Moulding Assist are used to display corresponding solution
proposals.

New is an electro-mechanical ejector that enables precise track positioning of the
ejector with synchronisation of ejector, clamping and handling-movements
The rotary movement of the servo-electrically driven spindle is converted into a axial movement for the ejector via a recirculating ball nut.
The ejector has a maximum stroke of 150 mm and the highest travel speed is 500
mm/s.
The main advantages of the electro-mechanical ejector are:
• a function that is independent of the main drive of the injection moulding machine
• adjustable speed profiles (acceleration / braking with high accuracy and dynamics)
• exact track positioning of the ejector with synchronisation of ejector, closing and
handling-movement, i.e. there is no relative movement between the ejector and the
handling.

With an eightfold presence at the Friedrichshafen plastics trade fair FAKUMA 2021, BOY shows its new products from its product programme.
As usual, BOY welcomes its visitors in Hall A7 / booth 7101.
