Kursus NIOSH AESP - AUTHORISED ENTRANT & STANDBY PERSON FOR CONFINED SPACE

Project: AI Driven Quantitative Risk Framework for Monitoring Tunnel Instabilities (U-TG-RD-25-01)

From 25 till 26/02/2026, the project Team Members has undergoes the training on NIOSH-AESP. The training is conducted by Mr Mohd Asri, Resident Trainer from NIOSH National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. One day in the class for the theory and understanding, and one day in the CSS-MTU area for practical training.

This training is COMPULSORY to get the acknowledgement that we are ready to get inside the TNB Tunnel.

Congratulations Professor Datin Ir Dr Lariyah Mohd Sidek 🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations to Prof. Datin Ir. Dr. Lariyah Bte Mohd Sidek from the Institute of Energy Infrastructure (IEI), College of Engineering (COE) for securing the International Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CLARE) Grant, with an allocation of THB 1,665,500 equivalent to about RM214k.

Incredibly proud of our researchers who continue to prove that Malaysian expertise is competitive on the global stage.

This reflects UNITEN’s commitment to research with impact, where innovation and knowledge are translated into solutions that serve communities!
